Meditation/Prayer Initiation

If you would like to experience less fear and more Love, Peace, and Joy in your life, then contact me either online or by telephone at (706-754-7488). All my services, including meditation techniques, are free.


If you’re interested in learning useful meditation techniques or wish to deepen your existing meditation or prayer practice, I am eager to be of service to you. I do not teach religion; instead, I focus on spiritual practices that can be integrated into any person's spiritual beliefs or even those who have no spiritual beliefs.


Depending on your preferences, I will guide you through one or more of the following techniques: the Serenity Meditation, Christian Centering Prayer, Mantra Meditation, Mindfulness Meditation, Kriya Pranayama Meditation, and more. Experience has shown me that all of these techniques lead to the same destination—Self and God Realization. With consistent practice, you will discover which technique works best for you.


In addition to meditation techniques, I also offer stress management workshops and yoga classes to further support your spiritual journey. I am eager to assist you every step of the way.

    INTEGRAL YOGA CLASSES FOR BEGINNING AND INTERMEDIATE STUDENTS

    Universal Chanting and Meditation/Prayer

    Join us on Wednesday from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and feel your heart open as you sing songs from various spiritual traditions. This session of chanting serves as a wonderful prelude to meditation techniques that enhance your practice. In addition to providing physical, mental, and spiritual benefits, meditation and prayer are essential for effective stress management. They help reduce stress, bring awareness to the peace within, and ultimately empower you to master your own mind. For those looking to deepen their experience, instructions and assistance are available, similar to what you may find in yoga classes or stress management workshops.

    LEARNING RELAXATION / STRESS MANAGEMENT SKILLS USING BIOFEEDBACK

    Fourth Saturday of Every Month from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.


    STRESS often triggers health problems. Yet becoming anxious or depressed only makes things worse. While you cannot change the fact that stress is everywhere, you can learn to respond skillfully to life's challenges and maintain your equilibrium.


    During this three-hour workshop, which is one of our focused stress management workshops, you will learn about stress and its impacts, the stress cycle, and the relaxation response. Key stress management techniques, including various meditation techniques, will be outlined. We will highlight the physiological, psychological, and spiritual benefits of regularly eliciting the relaxation response.


    This training is designed to empower you to include stress management and relaxation skills, such as those learned in yoga classes, as part of your life and work. You will discover several techniques to elicit the relaxation response, including breathing techniques, muscle relaxation, meditation/prayer, and mindfulness.


    You will also be offered the opportunity to use thermal and/or electrodermal biofeedback instruments during training. These biofeedback instruments increase awareness of internal changes and enhance the development of relaxation skills.


    For over forty-five years, I have successfully taught relaxation techniques to hundreds of individuals of all ages and have conducted numerous workshops in a variety of settings. Experience has taught me that, from the myriad of relaxation techniques available, everyone can learn to relax.

    SILENT MEDITATION/PRAYER RETREAT

    Third Saturday of Every Month


    You set starting and ending times.


    Give yourself the gift of a day of silence! Experience the healing power of nature. Immersing yourself in stillness and silence allows you to reconnect with your inner being. This enhances your meditation techniques, facilitating inner healing, greater compassion, and spiritual transformation.


    During your silent retreat, you set your own schedule. This may vary from an open timetable to an established routine that alternates between periods of sitting and walking meditation/prayer. Incorporating stress management workshops into your day can enhance your experience.


    Spend a day reconnecting with your Higher Self, the peace, and joy within you. Enjoy time to relax in the forest, with beautiful walks and mystical meditation/prayer spaces that complement any yoga classes you may also be exploring.
